It's a privilege to hear your life story and I am honored if you decide to share your experience with me. My hope is that I create a space for you that is validating, non-judgmental, and safe for you. As we begin the therapy process, it is important that I know your background, coping skills, support systems and goals in order to understand the full picture of who you are and what you hope to achieve. Therapy is a collaborative experience where I use my clinical training, experience and perspective to work with you. I respect and value your opinions and feedback. My role in therapy is to also gently challenge. Growth only happens when we leave our comfort zones. The best way to grow is to do the work inside and outside of our sessions to get the results you desire.
