About Me
My name is Tiffany Lowther and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida (MH13737). Helping people has been a life's passion and I am grateful to be a part of a profession where the goal is to be a part of a client's healing, connection and growth. I am certified in both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Perinatal Mental Health. I work with adults using evidenced-based modalities. I specialize in Substance Use, Women’s Issues, Anxiety, Stress Management, Life Changes, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Pregnancy and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I am an ally to the LGBTQI+ community.
I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Minor in Women's Studies from the University of Central Florida. I went on to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in 2013. I am certified in both Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDR Institutional Association. Past work history involves working in all levels of care in the substance use field, outpatient settings and transitional housing for Veterans and the HIV positive population. I’ve enjoyed running groups, teaching and presenting on different areas and interests.
I enjoy being a part of the local community and organizations. I am a member of Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida, Postpartum Support International, EMDR Institutional Association, member and current secretary of Central Florida Postpartum Alliance. For the last decade I have served as an adviser for Chi Omega Fraternity at Rollins College.
