RATES, HOURS AND POLICIES

Investment:

At Lowther Counseling Services, we offer individualized, professional and comprehensive services tailored to your unique needs. Our rates reflect the expertise and dedication we bring to each session:

• $180 for Diagnostic Evaluation (50 Min)

• $180 for Individual Psychotherapy (50 Min)

• $270 for Extended Individual Psychotherapy (80 Min)

• $360 for Extended Individual Psychotherapy (110 Min)

80 and 110 minute sessions for EMDR can be instrumental in achieving positive outcomes within a more condensed timeframe. Half and full-day EMDR intensives may be a great fit for recent traumatic events such as natural disasters or birth trauma, those with busy work schedules and those who live outside of FL.

Confidentiality without Insurance Involvement & Health Insurance:

There are numerous advantages to opting out of health insurance, and we're here to guide you in understanding those benefits. Choosing to self-pay allows for greater privacy, as your therapy records are not shared with insurance companies, future or current employers or tied to a diagnosis. Health insurance requires a mental health diagnoses to pay for services. Opting out of health insurance also provides more flexibility in the frequency, length of time and type of sessions you receive, empowering you to make decisions based on your needs—not your coverage limits. As a provider who is paneled with only one insurance company, I’m able to focus more fully on my clients, their individual needs, and work more collaboratively on treatment without the administrative demands and restrictions that can come with insurance oversight.

If you wish to go through your health insurance and it is not listed below, you can explore out of network benefits that you might be entitled to. Please visit the respective health insurance company's website or contact customer service representatives. They can furnish you with detailed information regarding your specific benefits, enabling you to optimize your out-of-network mental health coverage. We will provide a monthly superbill (detailed paid invoice) for reimbursement. Alternatively, you may explore services like Mentaya, which streamlines the entire out-of-network process for you: Mentaya. 

 

We currently accept the following insurance plan: Aetna We do not currently accept Marketplace ACA Aetna plans or  employee assistance programs (EAP).

Hours and Availability:

• We offer sessions Monday-Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

• EMDR Intensives (80 minutes) are offered during weekday hours

• EMDR half (4 hour) and full-day (8 hour) intensives may be done during evening and weekend hours and with an additional certified EMDR counselor. These are recommended for those who reside outside of Florida, those who've experienced recent traumatic events such as shootings, traumatic loss(es), natural disasters, assaults, etc. and can assist clients in feeling safer and healing more quickly. 

• Hours for business consultation may vary from these times.

• We provide both teletherapy and in-person sessions to clients in that state of Florida.

Please note that, we do not offer more than once-per-week appointments, and are not available for on-call or crisis therapy. Our scheduling may not be suitable for those requiring a more intensive schedule.

Cancellation/No Show Policy:

To ensure the highest level of service, we maintain the following cancellation and no-show policy:

• A strict 48-business hour cancellation fee applies to all appointments. For Monday appointments, they must be cancelled Friday before 9am and for Tuesday appointments, over the weekend before Sunday at 9am. 

• Cancellation within 48-business hours incurs a $110 late fee.

• The full session rate is charged for sessions scheduled for longer than 50 minutes.

• Failure to show or cancel incurs the full self-pay rate.

We respect your time and appreciate your adherence to these policies. Repeated cancellations, late cancellations, or no-shows may lead to a discussion of alternative scheduling options or discharge.

Good Faith Estimate:

Payment:

Payment is due at the time of service, and we accept cash, checks, major credit cards, and health savings accounts.  Business packages must be paid prior to service.
